As the authoritative voice for the trucking
industry in Alaska, legislators, executive branch elected officials and state
department leaders look to the Alaska Trucking Association when transportation questions arise.
One tool in our government relations program
is an effective Political Action Committee (PAC).
The 2012 election cycle is complete and the ATATruckPAC is proud to have given out over $10,000 in contributions to our legislators.
With all the uncertainty facing Alaskans today, it is
more important than ever to become politically active. Political action
committees are a great way to help ensure that legislators and other state
elected officials who are informed about our issues continue to serve.
We need to continue our aggressive efforts to
insure that any increased transportation funding is fair to our
industry. ATA was successful in helping the
passage of the anti-indemnification bill. Other priority issues are Oil Tax Review, Dalton Highway upgrades and maintenance, Parks Highway weight restrictions
elimination projects and statewide highway funding.
The ATATruckPAC needs a strong group of
members to contribute the necessary funds to help support the candidates that
support us.
The political purpose of the ATATruckPAC is to support those candidates that have demonstrated support for our industry.
| Prior to contributing I have read and agreed to the ATATruckPAC policies found here. |
